WHAT IS SPRINGWOOD’S HISTORY?

Springwood Real Estate Services, founded by David Hogg in 1996, initially focused on the development and management of retail and multifamily properties, alongside some ventures into the hotel sector with external support. In 2007, Springwood Hospitality was established, marking a shift in the company's focus. Justin Shelton's arrival as President in 2009 brought a new era of leadership and growth to the organization. By 2013, Springwood affiliates were managing a substantial portfolio of over 1.25 million square feet of properties, including hotels, commercial spaces, and residential units.

The strategic decision to divest from non-hotel business units in 2015 allowed Springwood to streamline its operations and concentrate solely on the hospitality sector. This move paved the way for a more specialized and focused approach to hotel development and management. In 2022, Justin Shelton's acquisition of Springwood Hospitality from David Hogg elevated him to the position of CEO, further solidifying his commitment to the company's growth and success.

Presently, Springwood is dedicated to the development and management of Hilton and Marriott branded hotels, distinguished by a commitment to excellence, efficiency, and ethical business practices. The organization has facilitated substantial private investments in real estate ventures, totaling close to $150 million. With a robust portfolio of over 25 hotel development projects valued at more than $370 million, Springwood has established itself as a prominent player in the hospitality industry. The company's focus on hotel projects within a 300-mile radius of its York, PA headquarters, coupled with successful hotel sales exceeding $240 million since 2019, underscores its continued growth and success in the sector.
